Ian,
just wanted to say that I saw you today at Capital Trans Pride,
and you were just the BEST. I'm fifty-six - I just came out as
trans a little over a year ago. Today was my first Pride event
ever. I was so moved and your gift of laughter was the best
part. You had me laughing through tears of recognition.
I was very proud to be Trans today. I was very proud of you,
too. You do us all a service.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Hugs,
[Rose]

Thanks once again for coming out to Australia! I'm the
one who mentioned (last night) seeing you two years ago.
Absolutely loved you then, was thrilled to see you on the MICF
roster. I hope you have a blast out here and come back again
soon! Fantastic show last night, I have recommended it to my
friends locally, and told many of my US based mates to see you
when you're touring near them.

Hello, I love your stand up, so just joined your Fan list, to
make sure I know all about it if ever you tour the UK!
However I was quite surprised that one of the questions on the
fan list page was gender, male or female? I have to say your fan
base is the last place I’d expect to be asked to identify my
gender? I know it’s not compulsory, it’s just such a ridiculous
question, and I don’t see how my gender has any bearing on how
hard I laugh at your jokes. Thanks Phoebe x

Hi,
there! I just saw your routine on LOGO and I have to say
that you are VERY funny. Were you being serious about the
fact that you born a woman? If that was true, well, you
are a very good-looking man and I bet you are an equally
beautiful woman. A beautiful man with a vagina; the best
of both worlds!
[Kristian]

Just saw you on logo and wow, what can I say.
First, you are incredibly handsome, too bad you're not into
guys! Second, man, did I laugh. Thanks for the
intro. I'll be looking for you again. Peace.

Thank you for showing what special snowflakes hot
tranniebois are. I think your pandering comedic style is
brilliant!

When are you coming back to Florida?!? I loved seeing you at the
Improv opening for Margaret. On a side note, I teach college
juniors and seniors. I use quotes from you all the time to help
demolish their binary ideologies. Thanks for being out,
open, and honest about who you are!

My partner and I saw the show last night at the Agua
Caliente and you were brilliant. Thank you for making our
evening so special. Your shtick is still running through
my mind a day later. You have a special talent for making
fun of yourself, therefore relating to every audience you may
come upon. Thank you again and boy or boy are you a hot-ie.
Best Regards

This is not a question, but a comment: YOU RULE.
Thank you for being a funny-ass trans man who is not afraid to
stand up in front of the world & BE a funny-ass trans man.
My FTM husband & I saw you in Albany this weekend and I don't
think I have ever laughed so hard. Your bit about going to
gay clubs with your girlfriend had me in absolute hysterics -- I
know exactly what that's like! Thank you, thank you, thank
you times a million for a comedy routine that's funny because it
is ABOUT our life experience, not degrading our life experience.

I have been meaning to write to tell you that your one-man show
is amazing, Ian. My cheeks hurt the next day from laughing so
hard. But more than that, I brought my man, Eric, with me, and
you gave him an understanding of transgendered issues that he
never had before. He said: "I get it now. I never really
understood it before, but I get it now." It was so great to hear
that he had a new perspective thanks to your show. Kudos to you.

It was a pleasure to see your performance at Rams Head in
Annapolis, Maryland on Monday, 21 September. I must admit....you
are definitely cute and if you were at a bar, I would probably
hit on you but I won't because you have someone. I would have
never guessed that you were transgendered. As Paris would say,
"That's hot." Come back to Maryland soon!

Just wanted to say that I saw your show in Nashville last night
and I was really impressed. Margaret is right... you are funny
as hell. And pretty hot per your own joke. = ) Anyway, I
really enjoyed the show. We laughed our asses off and I wanted
to say thanks. I like folks who deliver a message, but not at
the expense of the art and I thought you walked that line both
bravely and skillfully. Keep up the good work. I signed up for
the list, so I'll try to catch you next time thru Nashville.
Take care and safe travels.

Portland Harbor, East Coast. Plans for some summering in Maine?
I heard there is a place on a wharf that you started telling
jokes at? KIT

Drove three hours round-trip to Podunk, Minnesota to see you and
Margaret last night -- the drive home in a nasty blizzard that
left me sliding all over the road -- and it was totally worth
it. You were absolutely fresh and wonderful. I'm one of those
terrible audience members that doesn't laugh much because it
seems like I've heard it all before, but your material was very
original and very funny. I am so happy that I went, if only to
have found out about you.

I saw your show in Pittsburgh earlier this month and just have
to tell you were right. I haven't been able to watch Law & Order
the same way since. That joke was a smart maketing tool, by the
way. As much as L&O is on nowadays, to make people think of you
when that show is on was quite clever.

Life is strange. I now have a crush on a straight man with a
vagina. I never saw that coming. The biggest surprise however
was in your show when you said you were 40! NO way! And here I
was feeling guilty for ogling a 20-something gay boy in the
lobby before the 2nd show (turned out to be you of course)!
Anyhow- it was a GREAT show, and I hope that you'll come back to
Michigan someday. Thank you!!!!

Ian! I am so glad I got to see your act before Madam Cho in
Pittsburgh. I was was that crazy woman that harassed you after
the show about being from Portland, Maine! It was great to talk
to someone about my old stomping ground. For several years I
actually lived right down in Congress Square in the heart of
Portland. I so want to now check out that Zootz reunion. Your
stuff was hilarious and you were awesome, and totally sexy. (You
sure you can come to a different understanding with your gf?
LOL) Take care! - xx

I want to see more of the best stand-up comic in the USA. When
are you going to tour the Northeast again?
[Linus]
[Date: Sun., March 8, 2009]
Not really a question, just want to say, I loved your show last
night (Pittsburgh). I also want to say as a gay man that you are
very handsome, my friends and I all thought so. Keep up the good
comedy routine! I needed some good laughs, you and Margaret were
great.

Today, I was reading about different activities different people
on Face Book where doing, I took a little extra time to examine
the casting for The Big Gay Sketch Show.. while considering
having my partner try out for it. In that process I also came
across your profile.. all I can say, while trying to not sound
utterly ridiculous. "is God, your cute, and if I could carry
children I would want carry yours" There I can't believe I've
said that! Btw, I'm a MtF

I was at the San Jose Improv and was my first time seeing Ian
Harvie in person. I must say I was TOTALLY impressed and had a
good time watching him. I loved his jokes, his sharing of his
life story with everyone in such unique way...It was awesome. I
would love to see him again when he comes to bay area.

Saw the show last night at the Improv in San Jose. Best show
I've ever been to. Finally someone that could share the humor of
'my life'. It was great to meet you and hope to see you touring
around this area again!
