Letter of
Recommendation
University of Maine (Farmington)
March 16,
2006
To Whom It
May Concern:
This letter
is to give my enthusiastic recommendation to Ian Harvie who has
performed numerous times at The Latte Landing, located on the
lower level of the Olsen Student Center at the University of
Maine at Farmington. The Latte Landing is a 150 seat
multipurpose room designed as a place for friends, students and
the UMF Community to relax, unwind, and enjoy nightly events.
While I
have know Ian for two years, I have had the opportunity to watch
with pleasure, as she rose from an opening/feature act to
headlining an event at the Latte Landing. Ian's sharp wit and
out-of-the-box thinking has provided our students with an event
that was both hilarious and thought provoking.
Ian was one
of our biggest hits during this school year and in the days
following the event I received numerous comments from students
telling me how funny and entertaining Ian was. In order to keep
events in the Latte Landing fresh, we usually hire new acts each
year, but Ian has been such a big hit, we always make a
commitment to bringing her back each year.
As the
student manager of the Latte Landing for four years, I have had
the opportunity to work with many acts and events. Ian has been
one of the most memorable, professional, and funniest comedians
we have had in the Latte Landing. I highly recommend Ian to
other colleges and clubs as a way to fill your seats and provide
an exciting and thought provoking comedian to your existing
bookings.
Sincerely,
Joshua Gagnon
